My Doterra MetaPWR review s

I've been keeping track of my experience with Doterra MEtPWR.

After all it's al about the results !

and the result are in:

Week 1:

I changed my morning routine a little bit. I now start the day with the MetaPWR advantage drink-mix.

It's easy to do, just empty the sachet in a glass, add water, mix it and drink it.

It had an orange - lemony taste.

The first thing I noticed was my skin. It was so soft.

Then I noticed my eyes looked so clear, almost radiant.

My sleep was better, sleeping through the night in stead of waking up a few times.

And there was a feeling of being 'cleansed' from the inside out.

Improved digestion, more regularity in my bathroom stops, less holding it all in.

And more focus in general.

I did keep forgetting to take my MetaPWR assist softgel before dinner.

But the days I did I noticed that I was more aware of when I was 'full'.

I did take a glass of water with a few drops of the MetaPWR essential oil now and then.

I noticed that would reduce my in between sugar cravings.

Overall: I must say I was a little stunned at the results after already one week.

Week 2:

Drinking MetaPWR is now a habit and I look forward to it, knowing it's doing me so much good.

My main observation for this week have been that I have a lot more energy .

My capacity to concentrate for longer periods at a time has increase significantly

Also my desire for a LOT of coffee in the morning has lessened.

Before I used coffee as a tool to wake me up and kick-start my day.
I still drink coffee in the morning, but now it's more for the taste and because I like having a 'coffee-moment'.

And when I have my coffee I use less sugar, because somehow my taste for sugar has changed.

I experience things as being too sweet more quickly.

Funny how hat works.

I'm still not consistent in taking the MetaPWR assist before dinner.

It's not a habit yet.

Now that things are settling a bit, I find that I'm more in touch with my body's needs.

When I need to drink, when I need to eat, when I have had enough to eat I stop and when I need to take a break I listen.

How to clean your essential oil diffuser

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR ESSENTIAL OIL DIFFUSER

Yes it's that TIME again !

Time to clean your essential oil diffuser.

I use my DIFFUSER every day.

It basically follows me around the house wherever I go.

In between essential oil shifts I give the inside of my diffuser a QUICK WIPE CLEAN with kitchen paper or a micro-fiber cloth and rinse the reservoir out with clean water.

And that's fine.

But my diffuser also needs an extra deep clean once in a while.

That gets rid of any of the unused essential oil left behind.

DIFFUSER DEEP CLEAN

You see, AS GREAT AS ESSENTIAL OILS ARE, they do leave behind residues.

These residues can slowly gum up your diffuser making it harder for the diffuser to do it's job: i.e to diffuse the aroma.

The left-behind residue from the last essential oil can also affect the aroma of the next oil you're diffusing and with that the aromatherapeutic benefits of the essential oils.

We don't want yesterdays energising lemon oil messing with the peaceful lavender meditation experience we have planned for today, do we?.

We want the best essential oil experience.

And we also want our diffuser-friend RUNNING IN PERFECT CONDITION for years to come !

HOW DO YOU KNOW IT'S TIME TO CLEAN YOUR DIFFUSER?

Simple really.

Your diffuser will tell you when it's in need of some extra TLC.

First you'll notice that the aroma-diffusion is less effective than before.

And after a while you will hear a gentle rumbling sound coming from the diffuser and you'll know for sure it's time for a deep clean.

I use my diffuser every day and I deep clean it about once a month.

10 MINUTES, PURE WHITE VINEGAR & a Q-TIP.

Cleaning isn't a big deal really.

All you need is 10 minutes, pure white vinegar and a Q-tip.

CLEAN YOUR DIFFUSER IN JUST 8 EASY STEPS

Here are the 8 simple steps:

1. Turn off your diffuser.

2. Fill the water reservoir halfway to the line with clean water.

3. Add 10 drops of pure white vinegar to the water reservoir.

4. Turn the diffuser on and let it run for 3-5 minutes, allowing the vinegar to disperse throughout. Best to do this in a space where the strong vinegar smell won't bother you.

5. Then empty the water reservoir completely.

6. Dip a Q-tip in white vinegar and wipe down the edges of the water reservoir as well as the ultrasonic mist chip.

7. Rinse the water reservoir with clean water.

8. Wipe the reservoir with a dry cloth and let it air dry before using it again.

And that's all there is to it.

In just 8 EASY STEPS your diffuser is as good as new !

And the diffuser will give you the best essential oil aromatherapy experience again !

We all know it's important to drink enough water.

After all, we are part water.

Our body needs water to keep us up & running.

Water cools, hydrates, cleanses and clears.

By drinking water we help our body flush out the toxins and keep us healthy.

HOW MUCH WATER DO I NEED TO DRINK A DAY?

The recommended amount of water-intake is 6 - 8 glasses per day.

Quite a lot, even if you do count your morning coffees and tea.

So what do you do when you don't really like drinking water?

You add a little extra flavour!

ADD TASTE WITH A DROP OF ESSENTIAL OIL

Add a drop of essential oil to your glass of water to give it an uplifting and refreshing taste.

Doterra Compensation Plan for essential oils ambassadors

START BUILDING A BUSINESS WITH ESSENTIAL OILS

You are here because you want to start building an essential oil business with Doterra and you want to know how the 'money thing' actually works. Well you've come to the right place !

THE BASE: BECOME AN AMBASSADOR FOR DOTERRA: GET YOUR ACCOUNT

If you want to earn money with Doterra you have to become an ambassador for Doterra. This means you have to get yourself a Doterra account and enroll as a Wellness advocate.

In order to receive money you will need to qualify. This means you will need to place an order for 100PV or more in the month that you'd like to get paid.

The easiest way is to keep in place a steady order for 100PV or more (this amounts to a little over €110,-) every month with LRP . That's what I do. Every month I get an automated e-mail to remind me to place my order for that month, super easy. And 100 PV is easily reached even just by buying my regular products that I would otherwise buy in the local shop, like my skin- and haircare products and energy supplements. It's like shopping in your own shop. And it's a good thing, because you need to really get to know the products you're offering.

TWO WAYS OF EARNING: VIA RETAIL OR COMMISSIONS

There are two fundamental ways in which a Wellness Advocate can earn money:

1. Retail sales profit: as a Wellness Advocate you can buy products at wholesale prices. The wholesale price is 25% off the retail price. The Wellness Advocate sells the products directly to the customer at retail pricing and then keeps the 25% difference as a profit. This way you earn money per each individual sale.

2. Commissions or bonuses: as a Wellness advocate you have your own business and in a sense you work alone, but you are also part of a larger team of wellness advocates that are all somehow connected. Depending on the volume of your product sales and the sales of the other wellness advocates in your team, you can earn commissions or bonuses. These are the bonuses: Fast start bonus, Power of three bonus, Uni-level commissions, Leadership pool bonus. This way you build a team and create long lasting sustainable residual business income.

Let's take a look at the bonuses and commissions more closely.

FAST START BONUS

This is a great bonus to start off and it’s paid out weekly. Every time you enroll a new wholesale customer or wellness advocate you get 20% of their orders for their first 60 days. This bonus has 3 levels. When you enroll someone you get 20%, your enroller gets 10% and their enroller earns 5%. Take a look at the graphic image below.

POWER OF THREE BONUS

There are 3 levels to the Power of 3 Bonus. Each Wellness Advocate on each level must place 100 PV LRP order within the qualifying month to qualify you for your Power Of Three Bonus. You are paid at the highest Power Of Three level you achieve that month. Take a look at the graphic image below.

Level 1 – $50 Bonus

Wellness Advocate must have a 100PV LRP order within the qualifying month

Wellness Advocate has 3 personally enrolled Wellness Advocates who placed 100PV LRP orders within the qualify month

Team Volume (OV) is 600PV. (Team Volume includes your personal order, the orders of your frontline, retail orders, and Wholesale Customer orders.)

Level 2 – $250 Bonus

Wellness Advocate must have a 100PV LRP order within the qualifying month

In order to qualify, Wellness Advocate must meet the requirements of Level 1 $50 Bonus

Your 3 front line team members must each have 3 other qualified, personally sponsored Wellness Advocates under them with a minimum of 600 Team Volume(OV).

Level 3 – $1500 Bonus

Wellness Advocate must have a 100PV LRP order within the qualifying month

In order to qualify, Wellness Advocate must meet the requirements of Level 2 $250 Bonus

The 9 qualified Wellness Advocates also must each have 3 qualified, personally sponsored Wellness Advocates Wholesale Customers enrolled under them with a minimum of 600 Team Volume.

UNILEVEL COMMISSIONS

The Uni-level Bonus is paid to Wellness Advocates each month. The Uni-level Bonus is based on the monthly volume of sales of the organisation created below the Wellness Advocate. With the Unilevel Commission, you make a percentage off the sales in your organisation. A particular month’s Uni-level Bonus is dependent upon the monthly rank for which the Wellness Advocate has qualified and the monthly organizational Volume of the Wellness Advocate.

Unlike other companies Doterra's uni-level plan lets you earn the highest percentage on the lower levels. As you grow or mentor your team leaders and structure efficiently for rank, you will see your team grow wider on your deeper levels. This means the lowest percentages are earned on the smaller groups of people and the highest levels earned on the largest groups (7 levels down). Doterra's Unilevel is set up to make sure there is no breakage in payout. By 'Dynamic compression', essentially all uni-level earning are paid out to Wellness Advocates. If someone below you doesn’t qualify to earn the Unilevel that month, it will roll up to you. This happens throughout every level of your organizstion. Take a look at the graphic image below.

LEADERSHIP POOL BONUS - SHARES

The final way to earn income with doTERRA is the Leadership Pool Bonus which is paid out monthly.

Empowerment Bonus – A Wellness Advocate that qualifies as a Premier or Silver and that enrolls one new Wellness Advocate or Wholesale Customer with 100 PV or more in a month, will receive one share in the Empowerment Pool. Shares do not cumulate from one Rank to the next. A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (1%) multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share in the month. This is about $200 a month.

Silver, Gold, Platinum Bonus – Each Silver receives one share in the Leadership Performance Pool. Each Gold receives five shares in the Leadership Performance Pool. Finally, each Platinum receives ten shares in the pool. A Wellness Advocate can earn an additional share for the month if the Wellness Advocate is the Enroller of a first-time Elite. Shares do not cumulate from one Rank to the next. For example, a Wellness Advocate who moves from Silver to Gold is entitled to five shares, and not one share from the Silver pool and five from the Gold pool. A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (2%) multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share in the month.

Diamond + Bonus – Each Diamond receives one share in the Diamond Performance Pool. Each Blue Diamond receives two shares in the pool, and each Presidential Diamond receives three shares in the pool. A Wellness Advocate can earn additional shares, for the month, if the Wellness Advocate is the Enroller of a first-time Premier. Again, shares do not cumulate from one Rank to the next. A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (1%), multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share or shares in the month.

Our skincare needs can change over time

I always had great skin, but somewhere along the way it got troublesome.

It became dull, dry, damaged and easily irritated with unwanted redness.

And nothing seemed to work !

This changed when I started using Doterra's skincare products.

I realise I sound like one of those FANCY skin-care commercials, but ... it's the TRUTH.

Nothing seemed to work

Before using the Doterra creams and serums I had tried soooo many different skin products from different brands.

It always started out well, but then after about three months or so my skin would 'kick-back' again.

A few months of hope and then back to square one.

Even from the so called perfume free ones ...

So when I started using the Doterra skin care, I was kind of expecting the same thing to happen again.

But to MY HAPPY SURPRISE that didn't happen !

Instead MY SKIN TOTALLY ACCEPTED it and still does to his day.

I quickly noticed my skin going from dull, dry, damaged and irritated to a FRESH, EVEN LOOKING SKIN with a HAPPY and HEALTHY GLOW.

I can't even begin to tell you how very GRATEFUL I am for this discovery.

I wish I had known about these products sooner.

And maybe you do too ?

So what made the difference ?

Looking back I think it's this:

Firstly, my skin evolved over time so I needed to REEVALUATE AND ADJUST my skincare accordingly.
Secondly, the Doterra skincare products are TOXIN-FREE. By crossing over to ALL-NATURAL SKINCARE I realised that my skin had probably always reacted strongly to the hidden harmful toxic chemicals in my old skincare. With the natural Doterra products there was NO MORE IRRITATION of the skin.
Thirdly, the skincare products are INFUSED WITH ESSENTIAL OILS that are simply GREAT FOR THE SKIN. Essential oils like Frankincense, Geranium and Myrrh that have a LONG HISTORY OF BENEFITS in skincare.
Lastly, Doterra has a selection of creams and serums for all my skincare wishes : TIGHTENING, BRIGHTENING, NOURISHING, MOISTURISING, ANTI-AGING you name it, they've got it. And for me that's the great part, because I can MIX & MATCH accordingly. I use products from their ESSENTIAL SKIN CARE LINE that focuses on anti-aging skin creams AND I also use products from their VERAGE SKIN CARE COLLECTION for nourishing and hydrating the skin.

WANT TO KNOW WHICH PRODUCTS I USE ?

VERAGE MOISTURIZER

This one I use in the morning.

It's a very light, white cream that spreads out easily covering your whole facial area.

You can instantly feel it NOURISH and HYDRATE your skin.

It comes in a bottle with a pump.

One little pump is enough.

The Verage moisturizer is infused with Jasmine, Geranium, Juniper Berry and sea buckthorn berry to SOFTEN, SOOTHE and improve the appearance of aging skin.

TIGHTENING SERUM:

The tightening serum is designed to give you FIRMER, YOUNGER-LOOKING SKIN.

The texture is slightly more 'gummy' than the Verage moisturizer and it has a more milky colour.

I use it as a night cream after I have washed my face.

I don't use it every night, but you can if you want to.

And of course you can use it as a day cream too. It's all up to you.

The serum is infused with the HIGH-END ESSENTIAL OILS: Frankincense, Hawaiian Sandalwood and Myrrh and in GENEROUS proportions !

This serum NATURALLY TIGHTENS and smoothes the skin leaving my skin feeling super soft in the morning.

And a little goes a long way.

BRIGHTENING GEL

This gel is my go-to product when I want to LOOK MY BEST.

My skin is so sensitive that I can't use foundation make-up and this is my alternative !

This gel reduces any unwanted redness in my face, EVENS MY SKIN TONE and BRIGHTENS MY OVERALL COMPLEXION, just like a foundation.

It's infused with Daisy extract and the wonderful essential oils Bergamot, Juniper Berry & Melissa.

And it comes in an easy-to-use tube with a pump.

This is such a great discovery !

HYDRATING CREAM

The hydrating cream is quite a rich & creamier than all the other creams.

I use this cream I use when I want to help my skin recover.

You can use it day or night.

Did you know that ESSENTIAL OILS are great for CHAKRA-work?

Essential oils have the power to influence your innate energy centres also know as CHAKRA's.

WHEEL

Chakra is the Sanskrit word for Wheel.

We have SEVEN of Chakra's or energy wheels in our body.

Each chakra governs a specific type of energy.

Most of us don't feel the energy of their chakra's.

And that totally ok.

You can do Chakra work, regardless.

The important thing is to know that they exist.

And then learn what they represent and how they can affect you.

ENERGY FLOW

Imagine your seven chakra's are wheels on a cart.

The cart runs best when all the wheels turn and at an aligned speed.

There's no point in one wheel going really fast when the others can't keep up or one is stuck.

The same goes for your chakra's.

For you to 'run' smoothly , each chakra has to turn, and at a speed that relates to the other chakra's.

When one chakra is out of whack, it can throw your whole being off course.

But when your chakra's are balanced right you feel a sense of joy and flow in your life.

CHAKRA'S

Meet the seven major Chakra's:

1. ROOT chakra: the root chakra is located at the base of the spine. It governs the energy of grounding.

2. SACRAL chakra: the sacral chakra is located in the area below the navel point. It governs creative energy and pleasure.

3. SOLAR PLEXUS chakra: the solaris plexus is located above the navel point. It governs will power.

4. HEART chakra: the heart chakra is located in the centre of the chest. It governs the energy of love and compassion.

5. THROAT chakra: the throat chakra is located in the throat area. It governs the energy of self-expression and communication.

6. THIRD EYE chakra: the third eye chakra is located in the centre of the forehead, in between the brows. It governs the energy of intuition and imagination.

7. CROWN chakra: the crown chakra is located in the centre on the top of your head. It governs the energy related to spiritual connection.

ESSENTIAL OILS

There are many ways of doing chakra work.

One of them is the use of essential oils.

Essential oils can unlock and awaken a chakra with no effort on your part.

They can also calm a chakra that is turning too fast for it's own good.

And everything in between.

Because working with essential oils is very easy, it's a great way to start off on your chakra journey.

The simple action of smelling the aroma from the bottle can set things off.

You can also use a diffuser (adding 6-8 drops of the essential) or apply the essential oils topically with a massage ( diluted with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil).

Make a Serenity ROLLER-BOTTLE (10ml) and keep it on your nightstand. Use the Serenity roll-on on the bottoms of your feet, the back of the neck and on the insides of your wrists before you dive under your duvet. How to get free oils with Doterra's Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP)

So what's all this talk about FREE OILS ?

Is that for real?

YES, it certainly is !

And I can't wait to tell you about it.

Doterra has a really generous way of rewarding customers for their Loyalty.

It's called the LOYALTY REWARDS PROGRAM or LRP.

LRP is good for everyone because for LRP joiners shipping is essentially free.

But LRP is especially suited for you if essential oils are (going to be) part of your every day lifestyle.

That's because LRP is a savings program especially designed for the benefit of REGULAR RETURNING CUSTOMERS.

With every consecutive order you place, you build up product-credit reward points.

And with those reward points you can order extra Doterra products free of charge.

YAY! Isn't that great!

SO HOW DO YOU GET THOSE REWARD POINTS?

The reward points are calculated from:

A) the total PV of your monthly LRP order, and

B) your reward percentage % at the time of the order (the rate at which you earn reward points), and

C) the shipping cost of your LRP-order.

In a nutshell:

PV of order x REWARD PERCENTAGE % = POINTS for free products

And shipping is essentially free.

PV POINTS

Every Doterra product has a certain value which is defined in Product Value points (PV points).

With every LRP-order you place valued over 50 PV, you are rewarded with a percentage of PV-points.

These PV-points are then added to your Doterra-account every month and combined they represent your FREE productcredit.

And with your saved productcredit you can order extra Doterra products free of charge.

REWARD PERCENTAGE

With LRP regular customers can be rewarded as much as 10%-30% in PV-points for their next purchases.

And that is on top of the 25% discount you already get when you open a wholesale account !!

The great thing is that your reward percentage increases as you consistently place your order every month.

1-3 months: 10%
4-6 months: 15%
7-9 months: 20%
10-12 months: 25%
13+ months: 30%

SHIPPING REWARD POINTS

And last but not least: shipping is essentially free for LRP members.

Anyone placing an online LRP-order gets their shipping costs back in reward points.

So for example, €8,50 in shipping costs = 8.5 PV back into your account.

You see how it all adds up !

EXAMPLE:

You buy a bottle of Frankincense oil online with an LRP-order.

The retail price is € 96,67

As a Wholesale customer you get your 25% discount, so you only pay: €72.50

Frankincense oil has a value of 75 PV points.

In your first 3 months you have a reward percentage of 10%.

So you are rewarded 7.5 PV points for this purchase.

Shipping costs are €8,50, and for that you also get back 8.5 PV .

A total of 16 PV.

This means that - after a starter-period of 60 days - you can get a FREE product worth 16PV.

So that could be a bath bar (5.50 PV) and a lovely Lemon oil (value 10.5 PV) for free.

That's what I call GENEROUS !

I use my LRP points to get the special, more high-end oils on my wish list.

Like Rose touch, Melisse, Frankincense and Helichrisium.

And LRP-points also come in handy on the months that I need Doterra-products (like skin & hair care products), but I’m on a slimmer budget.

I personally can't think of a better way to save on essential oils that I'm planning to purchase anyway.

What are the most important LRP Terms & Conditions?

You must enroll in the Loyalty Rewards Program to receive points on your purchases.
You must be an LRP participant for 60 days before PV-points can be redeemed
LRP-orders must exceed 50 PV per single order to earn Reward Points.
Product credits can only be used to purchase full PV products.
And in the event that you don't want to order for 50 PV pv or more, no problem. All you have to do is make a minimum of 1 PV monthly purchase a month. That way you keep your LRP points and maintain your Loyalty reward percentage. You just don't receive any new reward points that month.
There is no maximum monthly points accumulation limit
Reward points expire 12 months from the date of issue
Your points will be added to your account on the 15th of the month following your order. As soon as you see your points on your account, you can start redeeming them for free product!
LRP members are eligible to receive a FREE product of the month with a 125+ PV order made before the 15th of the month.
You don't earn reward point on Redemption orders
Reward points have no cash redemption value and are non-transferable.

How to reduce your toxic load with Doterra's personal skincare products

Are you aware that there may be TOXINS HIDING IN YOUR PERSONAL SKINCARE products ?

And that these toxins can build up and add to your TOXIC LOAD ?

I know I wasn't !

While a lot of us these days are very CAREFUL with what we put in our mouths,

we often don't pay as much attention to what it is we're putting on our SKIN.

When my friend brought up the topic of toxins & microplastics in our skincare, I went into disbelief.

They wouldn't do that would they? Put harmful stuff into our creams & lotions ?

I'm sure it's not as bad as all that ?

But it wouldn't let me go.

So, I did a little googling on toxins and skincare and ... LEARNED A LOT !

Here's the bottom line:

Your skin is your largest organ,

As such your skin is a major entry point for toxins to get into our body.

These toxins can build up over time.

and have been linked to health issues, like skin irritation (yep! this used to be me), allergies, eczema, hormonal disruption and reproductive problems & more.

Can you believe it ?

It dawned on me that quite a few products on my bathroom shelf contained HARMFUL ingredients.

And I was using these product daily !

Slapping on my daycream, nightcream, bodycream.

Keeping my armpits fresh with deodorant.

Shampooing & conditioning,

Etc, etc.

All the while thinking I was taking good care of myself.

When I was actually opening myself up to A WHOLE RANGE OF TOXINS ... EVERY DAY !

Sure these added toxic ingredients have a purpose.

They make a product more foamy, fragrant, thicken the substance, give it a longer shelf-life etc. etc.

But at what cost?

I felt a little betrayed.

And it changed the way I looked at the products I was using.

Do I really want a self-care product that can potentially make me sick ?

No, I don't !

Even more so, because it's totally unnecessary.

Toxins are avoidable !

It is totally possible to ENJOY ALL THE GOODNESS of personal care products, without letting in any of the nasty chemicals (or microplastics).

How?

As you (may or may not) know, I'm an ambassador for Doterra, an essential oil company.

Find Essential oils for every kind of massage

I love a good MASSAGE don't you ?

I always come out of them completely RE-BALANCED & RE-CONNECTED with my body.

I find them very healing at a deep level.

AROMATHERAPY and massage go hand-in-hand.

Massages in itself can be relaxing, invigorating, stimulating or soothing.

Using essential oils can help ENHANCE these BENEFITS and make the entire massage experience a more effective experience.

And there's an essential oil for every purpose.

Here's how to CREATE A SIMPLE MASSAGE OIL that includes the benefits of essential oils.

Combine 3-10 drops of your desired essential oil with 15 ml (= 1 Tbs.) of Fractionated Coconut Oil or another carrier oil.

Apply a small amount of this mix and massage it into the skin using light to medium-light strokes of the hand or fingers. Start with a mix of 3 drops and then see if you want to add more.

Remember: essential oils are powerful and one drop goes a long way.

Vetiver. A soothing and aromatic massage oil for feet after a long day.
Wintergreen. Both soothing and warming, be sure to dilute.

WARMING MASSAGES

Keep in mind that these massage oils are hot or warm oils that will always NEED DILUTION !

Dilute either with Fractionated Coconut Oil or the doTERRA Hand & Body Lotion.

To test for sensitivity, add small amount of diluted oil on a small patch of skin and monitor for up to 5 minutes for a reaction.

A few drops of these essential oils added to your carrier oil will do the trick:

Ginger : Make sure to dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil for easy application and to avoid sensitivity.
Helichrysum : Promotes both vitality and energy.
any Citrus oil. Keep in mind that citrus oils are photosensitive and can cause harm when the skin is then exposed in the sun.

MASSAGE OILS COMBINATIONS

If you want to use more than one oil during the massage, there are some good combinations you can use for specific purposes.

You can put a few drops of oil into Fractionated Coconut Oil all at once, or layer them on the body one at a time for the best effect.

Basil and Wintergreen (stress-relief)
Black Pepper, Marjoram, and Lavender (warming and soothing)
Marjoram, Lavender, Peppermint, and Cypress (soothing)
Lavender and Peppermint (soothing)

Neroli Touch, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Marjoram (aromatic)

I'm a BIG ROLL-ON FAN !

Roll-ons are my favourite way to use oils, when it comes to using essential oils on my skin.

They just make essential oil application so EASY.

They fit in every pocket & handbag.

Great for when you're on-the-go.

I always have a roller bottle with me wherever I go.

So what are ROLL-ONS ?

Roll-ons, Roller Ball Bottles, Essential Oil Rollers or Rollerballs are different names for the same thing.

They are long, elegant bottles (typically 10 ml) with a rolling ball at the top.

The oils in the bottle is already pre-diluted and blended, ready for use.

Pre-diluted meaning they contain part essential oil and are then topped-of with Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO).

As you roll the bottle across your skin (wrists, inner arms, neck, temples& other pulse points) the rolling ball evenly distributes a regulated amount of oil onto your skin.

Clean and simple !

You can make your own roller bottle blends with Essential Oils and Fractinated Coconut Oil to suit your needs.

10 Tips to pick the best essential oil diffuser

So you finally decided to get yourself a diffuser ?

Yay!

Great decision !

But which one should you get ??

There are so many to choose from.

Oh No!

DIFFUSER OVERWHELM strikes again !

Let me help you !

Here are 10 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW to make the right choice for you.

1. SIZE

Not too small & not too big.

I use a Petal diffuser that can hold 150 ml water.

That's enough to last me up to 4 hours with only 4-6 drops of essential oil.

And that's for a regular sized living room.

So ask yourself if you need more than that?

2. EASY TO CLEAN

Diffusers come in all shapes & sizes & all sorts of awesome designs.

But beware, some are very impractical.

Check if your diffuser is easy to fill & easy to clean .

Can you give it a proper wipe on the inside if necessary?

For example, the top of my Petal diffuser can easily be removed for refilling and cleaning.

3. RUN TIME

Check out the run-time of the diffuser.

Different diffusers have different running times.

Some even go up to 10 hours.

On my Petal 2.0 diffuser I have the option to set the run-time to 2 hours and 6 hours continuously.

I can also set it to 12 hours intermittently (5 mins on - 5 min off) which can be nice for night-time.

These are nice options to have.

4. NICE & QUIET

There is a lot of difference in the noise levels of diffusers .

The point of having a diffuser is to relax & enjoy the aroma.

So I'm guessing you don't want an annoying background noise disturbing your peace.

And you certainly don't want to hear a nasty 'beep' every time your diffuser turns on and off.

It's good to research this before you buy your diffuser.

5. AUTOMATIC STOP

For safety reasons check that the diffuser stops automatically when it runs out of water.

That way you don't have to worry about leaving your diffuser on whilst you're running errands.

6. LIGHT

My Petal diffuser has a nice white light that can also serve as a night light.

Other diffusers have decorative multicoloured light features.

Decide for yourself if having a light feature is important to you.

And be sure you have the option of also turning the light off.

7. PLUG

This may sound silly, but check if your plug matches your country (EU-plug/UK-plug/US-plug).

Some diffusers also have rechargeable batteries and/or USB-connections.

See what power supply best meets your needs.

8. TYPE

There are many different types of diffusers: nebulizing, ultrasonic, heat and evaporative diffusers.

They all have their own unique method for getting essential oils into the air.

The Petal diffuser I use is an ultrasonic one.

It uses water and high electronic frequencies to create a fine cool mist from the essential oil and water.

This is a quiet & popular type of diffuser.

9. DURABLE

Go for a good solid diffuser that will last you a while.

After all you will be using it every day, 365 days a year !

I recommend going for quality.

There's nothing worse than having your new diffuser break down on you.

Check the material they're made of. ( Is it really wood or just lookalike ?)

Also check if the diffuser comes with a reasonable warranty.

10. PRICE

As you may have noticed, diffusers come in a wide price range.

You can spend anything from € 10,00 to over €100,00.

It really all depends on your budget and the features you choose.

Inform yourself about any possible hidden costs involved, like buying extra cartridges, batteries etc.

Me, I like to keep it simple.

My Petal 2.0 diffuser retails at € 55,00.

All I have to do is add water and my essental oils.

No hidden extra costs.

So there you have it.

Your 10 tips to pick the best diffuser for your needs.

Why I'm changing my lifestyle

Hi there,

So why am I changing my lifestyle?

What's going on?

Did something happen?

Is it the Corona-thing?

No, this is not Corona-talk.

Although that has made things extra clear for me.

No, for me this has been a long time coming.

The journey started quite a few years ago now, after I got my WAKE-UP call.

Like so many woman I was trying to be SUPERWOMAN.

And I almost made it too ! (LOL)

Untill I didn't.

I completely exhausted myself and got myself sick with adrenal fatigue/burn-out.

Forced to RESET myself, I had to RE-THINK a few things.

How was I spending my time? Who was I spending it with, and why?

More and more I started noticing how certain behaviours and activities were DRAINING my energy.

Over time this lead to a SHIFT IN MINDSET.

I let go of expectations, dropped ego-driven pursuits and changed many of my daily habits.

No more rat-race, pushing myself to the max, mindless consuming or silly spending.

Less alcohol, less coffee, less prefab food, less clutter, less media, less story, less drama, less stress.

All these behavioural changes added up, and ultimately resulted in a shift in lifestyle.

To a more CONSCIOUS WAY of LIVING.

A simpler life.

Now some might call this BORING.

Where's the fun?

Well if this is boring?

Then BORING IS MY NEW SEXY !

I now live a life with MORE FREEDOM.

Personal freedom, financial freedom, time freedom.

A lifestyle more ALIGNED with my values, with who I am.

Taking my time to enjoy things, doing things in my own rhythm.

Using my life force in a way that gives me a sense of purpose and joy.

More BALANCE, more headspace, more home-cooked meals & healthy finances.

More time to learn all sorts of new skills.

I became a yoga teacher, a life-coach and started my own coaching website www.magicpumpkin.nl

And recently discovered the joy of working with essential oils.

I look better, feel younger & have more energy than before my wake-up call.

And I'm surrounded by friends who support me in becoming the best version of me.

This kind of life is fun enough for me!

And that's why I'm sticking with it.

7 Tips to pick the best essential oil brand

Hi there !

When I started out on my ESSENTIAL OIL journey, I knew very little about them.

I was mostly enchanted by the idea of a more NATURAL LIFESTYLE.

It was only until later that I discovered, why the oils I was using were the best match for me.

It's a jungle out there when it comes to essential oils.

So many different brands.

All trying to grab your attention with fancy labels, beautiful displays and killer reviews.

So how do you choose?

How do you know what's best for you?

Here are 7 THINGS I learned about essential oils that can help you pick the best essential oil brand for you.

1. 100% NATURAL

The whole point of using essential oils - in my opinion - is that you want it to add to a more NATURAL LIFESTYLE.

That's why I like my oils 100% natural.

Meaning, they actually come from plants.

If this is important to you too, then check if the oil you're looking to buy really is 100% natural.

You see, a lot of essential oils out there aren't from botanical origin.

They are artificially made synthetic essential oils, designed to imitate the natural ones.

And a lot of the synthetic oils are made from chemicals - usually petroleum derived - and may contain harmful toxins.

2. QUANTITY

Essential oils come in different bottle sizes.

Standard sizes are: 5 ml, 10 ml or 15 ml.

To avoid any disappointment later on, make sure you check the size of the bottle.

Especially when you're ordering online.

3. DILUTED

Also check if it's pure essential oil your getting.

In oder to keep the prices low, a lot of essential oils these days are diluted.

Chemical fillers & alcohols are added.

Or the essential oils are mixed in with cheaper oils.

Needless to say that these diluted oils may well not be (as) effective for therapeutic use.

4 . USES

Essential oils can be use in different ways: aromatic (scent) and topical (skin).

Only a select few brands allow for the essential oils to be use internally too.

So if that's what you're looking for, do your research.

What you don't want is to harm yourself with an essential oil that isn't fit for internal use !

5. CONSISTENCY

This consistency aspect is easily overlooked.

But nothing is more frustrating than ordering an essential oil one time - falling in love with it - and then have it be of a different quality the next time around.

That's why I choose to go with a brand that guarantees me solid product quality again and again.

No matter what.

So if like me, you want to order the same essential oil on a regular basis, it's worth checking if the brand has a standard for essential oil purity & potency and has some kind of testing policy or quality control in place.

6. COMPANY VALUES

I like it when my money is contributing to a better world for all.

So, when I'm buying my oils, as with any other investment really, I like to know that the company is thinking about more than just making a profit.

If this is important to you too, then look into the company values behind the brand.

Is essential oil the companies core business?

How accessible is the company's customer service?

Does the company takes care of it's employees?

Does the company source the oils from plants grown in their natural habitat?

Are they into long term working relationships with suppliers/distillers?

Do they practice fair trade and pay their workers fair wages?

Does the company give-back to the community?

7. PRICE

ESSENTIAL OILS, just like DIFFUSERS come in a wide price range.

You can spend anything from €3,00 to over €30,00 for a bottle of Lavender essential oil.

So what then is a good price?

Well, that is something you will have do decide for yourself, given the information you now have.

But in short, what it comes down to is that the higher the quality, the more expensive the oil tends to be.

So there you have it.

Your 7 TIPS to pick the best essential oil brand for you.

Now you can make an informed choice!

It's up to you now to find your mix of what's important for you and then find the brand to match that.

How to make over you mood with Essential Oils

Hi there !

How are you?

These are turbulent times for all of us.

So, I thought I'd check in on you.

I hope you are keeping well.

We are all human.

And as humans, when the 'shit hits the fan' we zap into survival mode.

And it's showing up in all sorts of ways.

Running to the store and loading-up our carts.

Afraid there won't be enough.

Now, I like a full pantry as much as the next person.

But we really took it to the next level here, don't you think ?

Some of us are going into 'fight' mode.

Social media is full of blame these days.

Conspiracy theories are rampant.

Pointing fingers at the Rich, the Chinese, the CEO's.

At Somebody else.

Others go into 'flight' -mode.

Social media has skyrocketed with 'nonsense' posts the last few weeks.

We are posting anything & everything & mindlessly re-posting it all.

A silly attempt to distract ourselves.

People are bending the rules, explaining them in ways to suit themselves best.

What's so hard to understand about 'keeping 1.5 m distance', I wonder ?

"Surely they can't mean we're not allowed to go to the garden centre... all 5 of us?"

We are filtering reality.

Trying to make it all disappear.

And that's all OK.

We are human and we are on a learning curve.

Adjusting as best we know how.

But, I don't think this basic 'survival behaviour' will get us anywhere in the long run.

And we can do so much better than this !

Don't you agree?

May I suggest a different approach ?

I say, we take leadership.

First of ourselves, a nd then we can serve others from there.

Find a balance between staying informed and creating inner peace,

Go within,

Cut out the noise & rattle for a while.

Meditate, clear your head .

Polish up your values.

Re-fuel.

Find your inner strenght.

Decide your course.

And then lead from there.

Hi there!

I've just had the BEST september holiday break, ever.
A nice, rural holiday in the French countryside.
Enjoying the peace of the SIMPLE LIFE.
No TV, just books and NATURE.
With the bonus of all the great French cheeses & wines.
It is a holiday after all !

Coming back to my home town I soon noticed the CONTRAST in LIVING.
The FASTER PACE.
More demands, encounters & 'energy-exchanges'.
Staying CENTERED here is much more challenging than in the grassy fields of France.

Before you know it you're running around multitasking like a headless chicken.
Leaving you overwhelmed, fatigued and let's face it ....just plain moody.

So what do you do when this happens ?

How do you stay centered?

Well there are lot's of TOOLS.

Yoga, journaling, meditation, affirmations, awareness exercises, vision boards, nature walks, etc.

But one EASY TO USE tool is usually overlooked.

ESSENTIAL OILS .

The aroma of an essential oil can MAKE OVER YOUR MOOD in a second.

Really?

Yes, really.

Our SENSE oF SMELL is a very underrated tool.

What I do is simply put a few drops of essential oil in my D IFFUSER .

The AROMA fills the room.

And before I know it EMOTIONAL BALANCE is restored.

Back in FLOW.

And back on track!

Life just works better when you're coming from a POSITIVE place.

Feeling heavy-hearted? LIGHTEN-UP your mood with some P e ppermint oil .

Feeling overwhelmed? Get your FOCUS back with the tangy aroma of Lemon oil .

A great time to CHECK BACK IN, don't you agree ?

What have you been up to these last few months ?

How are your goals coming along ?

At my end, a lot has happened on the Goal-front.

This months post is for all you HOLIDAY-MAKERS out there.

It's officially SUMMER !

Soon we will be packing our bikini's, flip-flops and sunglasses.
Off to SUNNY destinations.

I love going on HOLIDAY.
Sunshine.
Summer dresses
Time to read.
Going to the local market
A glass of cold rosé wine at the local café.
Lovely evening promenades along the boulevard...
Feeling all relaxed and beautiful...
Not a care in the world...

But, as we all know, holidays come to an end.
Over before you know it.
And then it's back to same old, same old.

Wouldn't it be GREAT if holidays could last forever?
Yes PLEASE ! Sign me up.

But unless you just won the lottery - that's not the world we live in.

What we CAN DO however is look for ways of bringing that holiday feeling into our daily lives.

Or even better: DESIGN A LIFE YOU DON'T NEED A HOLIDAY FROM.

Don't save all the FUN for the holidays !
Do more of what you love doing, every day.

Create a life that makes you feel like you're on holiday all year round!

No-one will PAINT, WRITE, PHOTOGRAPH or do anything the way you can, simply because they are not you.
This means that the work of art you don't create will be lost forever.

How to magically create more of the life you want

Every Year I choose a word for the year.
As a point of reference.
This year my word is FOCUS.

Focus means bundling your energy.
Like a laser beam.
Concentration.
Fulling saying 'Yes'.
Traffic lights on GREEN.
GO.
I LOVE that feeling.

But getting into FOCUS-MODE isn't always easy.
My creative mind - and I expect yours too - shoots out so many random ideas that it's very easy to get sidetracked.

That's why I find GOAL-SETTING so important.

Did you know that :
80% of the people don't even THINK of goals.
Of the remaining 20% only 4% WRITE their goals down.
And only 1% write their goals down and REVIEW them regularly.
And THEY are the ones that magically CREATE the life they want.

Now that's what I call THE MAGIC OF GOAL-SETTING !

Why not CREATE more of THE LIFE YOU WANT.

What do you want your life to be like?
What painting, picture, flower garden etc do you want to create ?
Who would you love to spend more time with this year ?
What movies, museums, concerts and shows do you want to go to ?
What books do you want to read ?
What courses do you want to take?

You get it right?

Now write it down and review them regularly.

It's Oh So Quiet

Why we need Winter

It's JANUARY .

The festivities of December are behind us.
We're now in the HEART OF WINTER.
Nature has pulled back all it's energy.
The world has gone QUIET for a while.

But is it really that quiet?
On the surface maybe.
But under the frozen soil there are seeds patiently waiting.
Ready to burst through the soil and sprout as soon as the first ray of sun hits the ground.

I have used the stillness of Januari to TAKE STOCK.
To grow my 'seeds' under the soil.
A little time-out, going inward.
Asking myself the question:

What do I want to create this year?

And from this came a sense of focus and commitment.
The WISDOM OF WINTER.

This year I commit myself to sharing with you my thoughts, ideas and creativity in the wish that it will bring a little extra sparkle & magic to your life and you will be reminded of what a beautiful soul you are.

I SAY WE NEED WINTER, in order to come back with a vengeance.
Full of energy and a sense of direction.
